Hillsborough: Chris Bryant calls for Sun and MacKenzie apology
Labour MP Chris Bryant has called for The Sun newspaper and its former editor, Kelvin MacKenzie, to apologise for a story written in the aftermath of the Hillsborough tragedy in 1989 in which 96 people died.
The article alleged drunk Liverpool fans abused victims and police during the disaster. Last week, Harry Arnold, the journalist who wrote the story, expressed regret for what he claimed were changes made by MacKenzie to the piece.
Mr Bryant said Mr MacKenzie should apologise "unambiguously" for the comments.
