Nick Clegg: 'We stopped extreme Tory welfare cuts'
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has criticised the Conservatives for seeking to impose "extreme" welfare reforms.
In a speech marking his five years as Lib Dem leader, he claimed his party curbed plans for an extra £10bn in welfare cuts and had "anchored reform in the sensible centre ground".
Mr Clegg also insisted his party will be more open about its differences with the Conservatives in the run up to the next election.
