Labour's Chris Leslie: Child benefit changes a 'shambles'
Labour has described the government's changes to child benefit, which come into effect on Monday, as "an administrative shambles''.
If either partner in a family earns between £50,000 and £60,000 they will still receive benefit, although a high income charge will apply on their tax.
Anyone earning more than £60,000 will stop receiving the money altogether.
Shadow Treasury Minister Chris Leslie said the chancellors's decision was ''upside-down'' and unfair.
