David Cameron to offer 'real choice' on EU

The Conservatives will offer voters the prospect of "real choice" in the UK's relationship with Europe at the next election, David Cameron has said.

When asked by Andrew Marr if any referendum on EU membership would be over five or ten years away from taking place he said "no, that's not going to happen".

The prime minister is to make a long-awaited speech on Europe, with many of his MPs calling on him to pledge a referendum.
