Executive pay: MPs and salaries of business leaders

The pay of Britain's top executives has proved especially controversial in times of austerity.

The wealth gap between those at the top and those struggling to make ends meet has led to calls for a cap on executive pay, and politicians are keen to show they want action too.

David Thompson spoke to shadow business secretary Chuka Umunna, Sharon Bowles MEP who chairs the European Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and Will Hutton who chairs the Big Innovation Centre.
