Labour: Defence cuts are a 'dreadful day' for the Army
A third round of Army job cuts is awaited as part of government plans to reduce the number of soldiers by 20,000.
Most of those who have been made redundant so far have been volunteers, but this time a higher proportion are expected to be compulsory.
Shadow Defence Secretary Jim Murphy said it was ''dreadful'' for army members to be facing compulsory job losses.
