Budget 2013: Pollsters react to Osborne and Balls

Press reports found George Osborne had not "done too badly" said Ben Page from Ipsos Mori, as he looked at the reaction to the chancellor's Budget speech.

He said the chancellor was heading to "very very choppy seas" but polls showed Labour was still behind on the economy although it had made up some ground.

Katharine Peacock from ComRes said the chancellor had yet to recover from a "20% hit" after the last Budget, but Ed Balls had still to "pick up traction" as the pollsters looked at the initial reaction to Budget day.
