Nigel Farage: UKIP not just a protest party

UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage has reached the end of what he has called his "common sense tour of the country" to drum up support ahead of next month's local elections.

The party has been buoyed by its recent performance at the Eastleigh by-election when it came second, ahead of the Conservatives.

Speaking in Tunbridge Wells in Kent, Mr Farage, said more and more people were viewing the UKIP party as a genuine alternative.
