Martin Lewis on Amazon, Google and Starbucks UK taxes

Financial expert Martin Lewis said it was "time we had a little more fairness" from American firms such as Amazon, Starbucks and Google over their tax affairs in the UK.

The money man spoke about the differences between tax avoidance, tax evasion and tax planning, and how he defined a "moral boundary".

He said Britain appeared to "favour the big Americans too much" and this was "not fair on British business", and he called for rule changes to bring in billions of pounds of tax.

And he called for "reasonableness laws" over what counted as a UK transaction, and not allowing sales to be registered in other EU states with lower tax rates.
