'Jeremy Hunt dangerously complacent over A&E' - Labour
Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham has accused Jeremy Hunt of 'dangerous complacency' over the state of A&E services in England.
In an urgent question in the Commons, Mr Burnham condemned the health secretary's record on A&E and denied that increased pressure on the service stemmed from the then Labour government's changes to the GP contract in 2004.
MPs began an inquiry into the state of emergency care in England on Tuesday with NHS Confederation chief executive Mike Farrar warning that the service was on a "cliff edge".
