Sir Alistair Graham on MP and Lords lobbying claims

A former chairman of Committee on Standards in Public Life claimed it was "very depressing that we are flashing back to 1994" and the cash-for-questions allegations, after the latest lobbying claims against politicians.

Sir Alistair Graham said an MP could be suspended from Parliament, which could ultimately lead to Patrick Mercer being forced to stand down, and a by-election in his Nottinghamshire seat of Newark.

And Sir Alistair added the lobbying allegations in the media showed the House of Lords was "over-ripe for reform".
