Cameron: EU right to lift arms embargo on Syrian opposition

David Cameron has told the House of Commons that the EU was right to lift its arms embargo on the Syrian opposition.

The embargo was lifted by the EU Foreign Affairs Council last week.

Mr Cameron told MPs that conditions in Syria continued to deteriorate, and that providing more humanitarian and military support was the way forward ahead of Russian and American backed peace talks due to be held in Geneva.
