Syria crisis: 'No decision to arm rebels', says Cameron
The UK shares the US view that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons, but has not yet decided whether to arm the rebels, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.
The White House is to supply direct military aid having concluded that chemical weapons have been used.
Mr Cameron was asked about Syria at a news conference with Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.
''We've made no decision to arm the opposition (in Syria) but it was right to lift the arms embargo,'' he told reporters.
