David Miliband: Union reforms are 'inevitable'
In the wake of the debate over union involvement in party politics, David Miliband has told Andrew Marr that union reforms are "inevitable".
He said that he had a sense there was an inevitability about reform as "the old structure of unions are dying" because they have to represent a country that is much more diverse than when the unions were originally established.
Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, Mr Miliband said that "they need to be thorough going because politics has to catch up".
