Page three and sexism: Caroline Lucas and Neil Wallis
Banning page three topless pictures in newspapers would be "gesture politics', said a former Sun and News of the World deputy editor.
Neil Wallis said he would have more respect for MP Caroline Lucas if she put her effort into fighting female genital mutilation, video pornography and sex slavery,
But the Green MP spoke against the "daily drip drip objectification of women", and said it was not appropriate for children to see the topless pictures.
Their debate followed a Daily Politics film looking at claims of sexism in the print and broadcast and print media
