Soubry: 'No simple solution' to A&E staffing
A BBC survey of NHS accident and emergency departments in England, has found evidence of staff shortages.
Just over a hundred hospitals responded to a Freedom of Information request and the results suggested that departments are understaffed on average by nearly 10%,.
NHS leaders are also warning that emergency departments could reach breaking point this winter unless pressures on the service are addressed.
The shadow Health Secretary, Andy Burnham, has said that Labour has been warning all year of intense pressure on hospital A&E departments.
But the Health Minister, Anna Soubry, says the government has plans in place to improve the situation
