UKIP's Godfrey Bloom under fire over offensive 'joke'

UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom has tried to brush off describing a room full of women at the UKIP conference as a room "full of sluts" - saying it was a joke.

Mr Bloom was addressing a "Women in Politics" event at the party's conference when he made the comments.

The MEP courted controversy recently by claiming British foreign aid goes to "bongo-bongo land".
