Rachel Reeves on Labour 'wraparound' care plan costs

Labour's plans to offer care for primary school children before and after classroom hours "won't cost any money", said the shadow chief secretary to the Treasury.

Rachel Reeves said schools should provide the "wrap around care", but the policy did not involve additional money, but a ring fence in place under the last Labour government would be reintroduced.

She told Andrew Neil that schools: "should not just be from nine till three, they should be from eight till six".
