Hague on Iran's nuclear plans and Syria's chemical weapons

The British foreign secretary has said the words from the new Iranian leadership are "very welcome" but it is the "actions that are going to count".

William Hague said Iran's nuclear plans were "not transparent in many regards at the moment" and Hassan Rouhani's leadership was not giving information being requested by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He said: "It is very important we really find out if they are serious".

Mr Hague also spoke to Andrew Neil on the BBC's Sunday Politics about sanctions for Syria, and what would happen if it did not give up its chemical weapons.
