PMQs: Cameron on police and Miliband Plebgate apologies

The police and Ed Miliband should apologise to Andrew Mitchell, the prime minister told the House of Commons over the "plebgate" affair.

David Cameron said he wanted to put on record "what an incredible job the police do every day".

But he added that, after reading the IPCC report into officers' actions towards his former chief whip, the "police do need to make an apology" and he hoped they will would give a "full account and a proper apology" before a committee on Wednesday afternoon.
