Intelligence and Security Committee: Spies before MPs

The heads of MI6, MI5 and GCHQ, giving evidence to Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee for the first time, will offer a "fascinating insight into the world of spies that we don't normally see", said BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner.

But he told Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics those stepping into public view for the first time on Thursday afternoon were not "generally terribly exciting", and he warned viewers not to "expect scintillating television".

GCHQ director Sir Iain Lobban, MI5 director general Andrew Parker and MI6 chief Sir John Sawers will be quizzed by MPs from 14:00 GMT.
