International aid: UK gives more money than other countries

The British government has given £50m in emergency aid to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, but other nations have not been as generous.

The Sun said on Monday that its readers have raised more money than the French government, and furniture chain IKEA had donated more than China and Russia.

Emily Ashton from the Sun joined the Daily Politics panel of MPs - Lib Dem Jeremy Browne, Conservative Michael Fallon and Labour's Julie Elliott - to look at why British people are so generous with good causes.
