Ukraine crisis: William Hague warns Russia

British Foreign Secretary William Hague has said Russia will face "consequences and costs" if it is not "persuaded to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine".

Russia has vowed its troops will remain in Ukraine to protect Russian interests and citizens until the political situation has been "normalised".

Mr Hague, who was speaking in Kiev, has said that the crisis in Ukraine is the biggest that Europe had faced this century.
