BBC TV licence: Support to decriminalise evasion grows

Labour is set to back plans to give ministers powers to decriminalise non-payment of the TV licence fee.

The move, which would see civil penalties handed out instead, now has cross-party political support but the BBC says the current system "works pretty well".
