Duncan Smith: Welfare cap 'will increase accountability'
An overall cap on the UK's annual welfare spending will provide the government with "greater flexibility" to adjust how money is spent, Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith has said.
Speaking to the Today programme, Mr Duncan Smith added that the cap will increase public accountability, with politicians having to justify any overspending.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday, 26 March.
