'Big improvements on UK recruitment' says David Cameron

The prime minister has described the issue of immigrants coming to the UK to fill vacancies as a problem of "five or ten years ago".

His comments came as the UK Independence Party launched its campaign for next month's European and local elections, with some posters featuring warnings that unemployed Europeans are looking to take British jobs.

At an event where he was taking questions from workers at a construction firm, David Cameron was asked how more jobs could be done by British workers, rather than immigrants.
