Cameron says view on housing 'similar to Thatcher's'

David Cameron has said he is trying to "relight" the fire of Margaret Thatcher's Right To Buy scheme through the government's Help to Buy programme.

The prime minister told the Today programme that the government has also "radically changed" the planning system to promote house building.

Speaking after radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri was found guilty of supporting terrorism by a New York court, Mr Cameron also explained that more can be done to speed up the extradition of terror suspects.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 20 May.
