UKIP message 'not getting through in London'

UKIP has failed to get its message through in London as those living in the capital are "more likely to believe" the bad press surrounding the party, Suzanne Evans has said.

Ms Evans, UKIP's communities spokesperson, nevertheless hailed the party's "fantastic" local election success, adding that the party was different to the "metropolitan elite" in understanding the "heartache" felt by the rest of the country.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 23 May.
