Sir Menzies Campbell on rebuilding Liberal Democrats
The Liberal Democrats are going to be "rather more assertive" in the run-up the general election, pointing out the party's positive achievements in government, a former leader has said.
Sir Menzies Campbell told Andrew Neil the party has rebuilt itself previously, and can do it again, but the party's popularity had suffered because they had to make "some pretty difficult decisions" whilst in government.
They spoke about the party's message for the election campaign after watching a Sunday Politics film on the party's fortunes in Liverpool.
