Simon Danczuk urges inquiry into lost abuse claim files
Simon Danczuk has urged David Cameron to order an overarching public inquiry after it emerged the Home Office could not locate 114 files containing allegations of historical child sex abuse.
"If the Prime Minister doesn't provide an overarching inquiry... then the public will think much less of the political leadership that we've currently got," the Labour MP for Rochdale said.
"It will bring politics into disrepute", he added.
