Sir Menzies Campbell on Russia 2018: 'This is a moral question'

Russia should lose the right to host the 2018 World Cup as part of tougher sanctions against Moscow, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has said.

President Putin has been under increasing pressure from Western nations amid allegations that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down in eastern Ukraine by Russian-armed rebels.

The Kremlin has also faced fierce criticism over its annexation of Crimea earlier in the year.

Speaking to the BBC, fellow Liberal Democrat Sir Menzies Campbell said that he agreed with Mr Clegg's position and that it was "not a political question so much as a moral one".
