Labour MP Lammy on London mayor bid
A Labour MP has announced he would like to become a candidate for London mayor.
David Lammy, MP for Tottenham told the Today programme: "The challenge for London is to continue to be the best city on the planet."
"All politicians say we need to build more homes... but not delivering" and as a potential mayor of London, his long term plan is to "tackle the green belt".
"We are going to be a 10 million city in a decade and that's why we need to meet these challenges and the biggest is absolutely housing," he added.
