UKIP tackled over stance on immigrants with HIV

UKIP leader Nigel Farage and newly-elected MP Douglas Carswell have been barracked by reporters over the party's stance on banning migrants with HIV entering Britain.

Mr Farage says the UK should not accept immigrants with 'life threatening diseases'.

Speaking in Clacton after the election of the party's first MP, he was asked about an interview in Newsweek Europe where he said migrants with HIV should be prevented from entering the UK.

Mr Farage said foreign patients were "putting pressure" on the NHS.
