Green Party MP Caroline Lucas on TV election debates
The Greens are outpolling the Lib Dems and should be invited into the TV debates for the 2015 election debates, said the party's MP.
Caroline Lucas told Andrew Neil that the idea of four white middle-aged men in grey suits reflecting the diversity of Britain was "a bit of a mockery".
And she added that broadcasters needed to get into the 21st century and discover how politics had changed.
The Daily Politics looked at the Green case to be involved in the debates, with a reaction from Lib Dem peer Olly Grender.
The BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4 have proposed three debates with combinations of David Cameron, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage.
