Equal pay day: Wage rates for men and women

Campaigners for equality between the sexes have called 4 November 'equal pay day'.

They reckon that a gender pay gap means women will effectively work for free from today until the end of the year, and that is three days longer than in 2013.

In a Daily Politics film on the Made In Dagenham set in London's Adelphi Theatre, Adam Fleming spoke to retired Asda employee Irene Cole and Ryan Bourne, from the Institute for Economic Affairs.
