Nuisance phone call numbers 'out of control' says Which

There are about one billion unwanted phone calls a year and the problem is "out of control" said the executive director of Which, who chaired a government taskforce.

Richard Lloyd said three out of ten people find them distressing, and many were coming from firms that the recipients had not heard of.

He spoke to Coburn on the Daily Politics, along with MPs Nigel Evans and Chris Bryant, about what action could be taken, and whether directors of phone firms should face action personally and be liable to fines.
