Labour's Miliband pledges 'fair and balanced' plan on spending

Party leader Ed Miliband has told the BBC's Robert Peston that Labour plans to tackle the nation's deficit in ''a fair and balanced way''.

He said the Labour Party aimed to create a growing economy, with fair decisions on tax and ''common-sense'' reductions in public spending.
