PMQs: Cameron and Gardiner on missed cancer targets
A Labour MP who lost his father, mother and sister to cancer questioned the prime minister about missed targets for cancer referrals.
Barry Gardiner said 20,000 people on an urgent referral have not been able to have treatment within two months, as was promised.
David Cameron said there had been a 50% increase in referrals into cancer treatment, and spoke of the importance of early diagnosis and the work of the Cancer Drugs Fund.
