Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg warns against 'lurch to left or right'

Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has criticised the economic plans of both Labour and the Conservatives.

In a speech, Mr Clegg said the last thing the UK needed was "a lurch to the left or the right".

Earlier, Labour's Ed Balls had accused the Conservatives of planning ''staggering'' cuts of £70bn - a figure which the Conservatives have rejected.
