PMQs: Cameron and Smith on AAA rating and Labour leadership

A new MP who wanted to know about the UK regaining its AAA-credit rating was encouraged to run for Labour leader by the prime minister.

David Cameron told Labour's Cat Smith that her question showed a new-found recognition for fiscal discipline.

He said the newly-elected MP for Lancaster and Fleetwood "made more sense" than the contenders to lead her party, and she should stand as he encouraged her to "go for it".
