EU debate: MPs back referendum plan

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has said an "entire generation" has been denied the chance to "have a say" on Britain's relationship with Europe.

Mr Hammond was speaking during an MPs' debate on the referendum bill which will give voters an opportunity to decide whether the UK should remain in the EU.

David Cameron has promised to hold the public vote by the end of 2017.
