David Cameron pledges to end welfare merry-go-round

The prime minister has signalled there could be big changes to child tax credits as the government looks at ways to save £12bn from the country's welfare bill.

David Cameron has vowed to end what he called the "merry-go-round", where people in low paid jobs are taxed by the government, and then the money is given back in the form of welfare.
