Labour leadership: Jeremy Corbyn rejects 'entryism' claims

Jeremy Corbyn has rejected claims of an "infiltration" of Labour by hard-left groups backing his leadership bid, saying the new supporters will turn Labour into a "social movement" again.

Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, he said: "The entryism that I see is lots of young people who were hitherto not very excited by politics coming in for the first time."

"I only want people to register as Labour supporters if they are genuine Labour supporters and they want to stay for the longer course," Mr Corbyn added.
