Conservative conference gets under way in Manchester

Cuts to in-work tax credits will go ahead, Prime Minister David Cameron has said, despite calls from within his own party to think again.

His comments came as Conservatives Party members gathered in Manchester for their first conference as a party in a majority government since 1996.
