Whittingdale story 'shows press regulation works'
Labour has called for Culture Secretary John Whittingdale to withdraw from press regulation decisions after news of his relationship with a woman he later learned was an escort.
Four newspapers knew about the relationship, which ended in 2014, but decided not to publish the story.
Evan Harris, executive director of Hacked Off, and Neil Wallis, former deputy editor of News of the World, debated on the Today programme whether the story should have been published first in the newspapers.
