Big Ben to be covered up and silenced

Parliament's Elizabeth Tower landmark needs to undergo extensive repairs, which will mean its bell will be silenced, and its clock faces covered up for several years.

Palace of Westminster clockmaker Paul Roberson said: "It is the most iconic clock in the world."

He spoke to Daily Politics reporter Adam Fleming about the £30m restoration project.
