Alex Salmond on health and education in Scotland

The former Scottish First Minister challenges assessments about the health and education achievements of the Scottish government.

He told Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn: "The only reason we have not met the targets is that we have increased the target ratio."

Talking about tax, he said: “You don’t protect end, or tackle, austerity by taxing the lowest-paid people in the country as Labour propose."
