EU wants 'strong defence ties' with UK - Jonathan Faull

The EU will want to maintain strong defence and security cooperation with the UK when it leaves the bloc, says Jonathan Faull who was Britain's most senior official at the European Commission until last month.

Mr Faull was speaking to BBC Newsnight's Nicholas Watt as part of an in-depth profile of the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.
