Labour: Tax rise is 'kick in the teeth' for self-employed

Philip Hammond has announced in his first budget that self-employed people will face a 2% rise in their National Insurance contributions.

Peter Dowd, Labour MP and the shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, told Radio 4's World at One that the government's "huge corporation tax cuts" and tax rises for the self-employed demonstrated that the government has their priorities "absolutely wrong".
