David Davis: PM's speech was not a 'threat'

Some EU officials have seen Theresa May's speech and especially her words: "a failure to reach an agreement would mean our cooperation in the fight against crime and terrorism would be weakened" as a blackmail threat.

Brexit secretary David Davis told the Today programme that Mrs May was simply making the point that "it is bad for both of us if we don't get a deal" and it was "not in any sense a threat".
